Each day I come to work in this prison, I know that I am a target because the inmates are looking for any opportunity to take out their frustration on authority. The fact that the inmates outnumber staff makes things a dangerous mix, but add into that mix drugs and weapons, and you go from dangerous to deadly in a second. That is why we have to spend so much time working on eliminating contraband from our jail.
The first thing that we do is set up a force of officers inside the visitor center each day, looking closely at how the inmates and visitors interact. We have to do full body searches and x-ray scans because everything is a potential weapon in the hands of an inmate. We even take the police dogs into empty cells during the day and see if we can locate anything that should not be inside the inmate cells.
When we were told Securus Technologies was installing an inmate call monitoring system, we didn’t realize this was going to be another tool we could use to control the flow of these items into our prison. Securus Technologies is headed by their CEO Richard Smith, who says that he and his entire staff are committed to the objective of making the world safe. Little did we know how much safer this one resource would actually make our own little world.
Hours after learning how the LBS software works, we began to pick up on conversations from inmates about where they hide their drugs. Then we got alerts some inmates were asking if family could bring drugs, or how they are buying drugs from other inmates. Each call helps us identify a problem that we can now fix quickly so the entire prison is that much safer.
Crime dramas are incredibly popular. Many of them contain a gotcha moment where a law enforcement officer or a lawyer meals a criminal with their own words. The most famous gotcha moment in movie history came when Jack Nicholson screamed, “You can’t handle the truth!”
These kind of gotcha moments are pretty rare in the real world. Often times, criminals will deny any criminal activity until evidence can fix them. And rarely will you see a suspect’s own words used against him in the court of law.
But these gotcha moments are making a resurgence thanks to Securus Technologies. Securus Technologies is a multi-million-dollar telecommunications company that runs the telephones with inside prisons. If you ever find yourself behind bars and requesting your one phone call, chances are you are using Securus Technologies telephone services.
Securus Technologies makes sure to record every single phone call that takes place inside of a jail that they service. It is kind of a creepy thing to do but it serves as another deterrent to stay out of jail. These hundreds of thousands of minutes of phone calls are then logged onto a computer’s hard drive. Law enforcement is then allowed to comb through all of this digital information using proprietary software.
The software allows police officers and lawyers to probe deep into this database in order to pick out one person’s voice. This kind of capability really gives law enforcement and lawyers in edge when it comes to convicting criminals of crimes. If a suspect denies any criminal activity, a lawyer can simply turn on a recorded telephone call that will incriminate them. This technology has really made for some great gotcha moments.
The technology also saves a ton of resources. Law enforcement spends less time searching for evidence when the criminal himself cops to the crime.
If you want your company to find long term success on the internet then you are going to need to know how to connect and market to your audience. That is why Talk Fusion, a video marketing solutions company, has risen to such prominence in recent years. Talk Fusion was founded by CEO Bob Reina back in 2007 and since then the company has rapidly been growing in both popularity and hard earned respect. Talk Fusion was recently awarded with one of the finest prizes that can be given in their field: the Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award.
Rich Tehrani, the CEO of Technology Marketing Corporation, was on hand to award all of the winners with the coveted and distinguished prize. Tehrani spared no sense of glory when he presented saying that the winners were, “True leaders within their industries, these honorees represent the best of the best products and solutions available on the market today.” Needless to say, the team at FreedomPop was ecstatic with the kind words and happy with their award.
The reason that Talk Fusion won the award was because of their coveted Video Chat application. The Video Chat application used WebRTC technology and it is available for free on both iTunes and the Google Play store. The application helps users connect with one another across any platform or device, anywhere on the planet. For people looking to connect to their customers or clients this is a perk that is almost too good to be true.
Talk Fusion CEO Bob Reina was quick to point the praise down toward the IT employees that worked so hard to finish up the work on the application. Reina was positively glowing with how effective their work was and he was quick to point out that this was only the beginning. As Reina says, “This is just the beginning.” Reina went on to point out that the whole company was focused on staying ahead of the curve. Talk Fusion has become a global name in video marketing and awards like this only prove just how great they are.
